5-2-Survive
5-2-Survive allows the public to take part in a social experiment of participating in the gathering and sharing snow data for the good of all.
It asks the public to submit 5 observations each snow season to the AvyLab community.
2 of those observations should be timed to correspond with the when they are concerned about the snow layers in the early winter and second when they feel secure about the snow layers in the spring.
The goal is to make clear that there is a lot happening with snow layers throughout the year and that snow layers correlate to danger levels. It also allows us to asses the risk tolerance of the general public compared to local avalanche forecasters.
By contributing to annual snow data collection, you will be put in the drawing for end of season prizes.
