Hey Friends,

My Name is Michael Murphy and I am a social entrepreneur and outdoor enthusiast behind Avalanche Lab. It is here, in Colorado, where I fell in love with the great outdoors and grew my passion for backcountry recreation after graduating with a degree in Sociology and a Masters in Ski Bumming from CU. Since then, I have been able to apply my skills to one of the biggest social problems facing backcountry recreation: Avalanche Safety and Awareness

I look forward to working with anyone who is interested in spreading our “Know Before You Go, and Share When Your There” mission to help impact people and save lives!
